How Scoring Works
Each Yes earns points, weighted by how much the control matters. No and Unknown earn none, because a reviewer treats a control nobody can confirm as missing. Not applicable removes a question from your total.
A score of 85 percent or higher, with every high-priority control in place, is a strong result. High-priority controls are the ones reviewers treat as deal-breakers, such as multi-factor authentication and tested backups.
What Happens After You Finish
A strong score: congratulations. Your controls are where reviewers expect them to be. If you are happy with your current IT provider, they are doing their job. If you are not, Triton would be a good fit: we can take over without losing what you have built.
Gaps or a failing score: set up a meeting with Triton. We walk through your answers, confirm what is really in place and give you a prioritized plan to close the gaps.
Security Readiness Checks: Common Questions
Which check should I take?
Take the check that matches the requirement in front of you: your cyber insurance renewal, a defense contract that requires CMMC, accepting credit cards (PCI DSS) or handling patient information (HIPAA). Many businesses face more than one, and each check takes only a few minutes.
Are the checks free?
Yes. There is no charge and no sign-up. You see your score as soon as you finish.
Do you store my answers?
No. Your answers stay in your browser, and nothing is sent to Triton unless you choose to contact us.
Is my score an official audit or certification?
No. Each check is an educational self-assessment. Official results come from your insurer, your CMMC assessment and SPRS entry, your PCI Self-Assessment Questionnaire, or your documented HIPAA risk analysis.
Why does Unknown count against me?
Because an auditor, assessor or underwriter treats a control nobody can confirm as missing. Choosing Unknown shows you what to verify first.
What happens if my score is low?
